Stray
animals found by the Animal Control Officers of Bryan and College Station
are brought to the shelter for impoundment. Concerned citizens
may also bring in strays for the shelter.
Any person
claiming their impounded pet is charged a fee plus room and board. The
owner must provide proof of current rabies vaccination by a veterinarian
licensed to practice in the State of Texas. If the animal is
not currently vaccinated, a prepaid will be sold to you to be used
at the vet of your choice. If you are a Brazos County resident, your
impounded dog or cat must have a current Brazos County license, or
one will be sold to you.
Any Brazos
County animal not claimed by its owner within three days shall become
property of the Shelter, and is evaluated for adoption.
